from the first time i visited New York City, i was drawn to the energy filling the streets—especially when taking a moment to step back from the hustle and bustle—a river current and a pulse of life that engulfs when you stop to feel it; a simultaneous cacophony and symphony of sounds and rhythms.
looking past the street noise is an homage to the life and sounds of the city. in addition to actual sampled street and train sounds used in the track, the sounds were chosen to evoke the feelings of the behemoth steel structures, car horns bouncing between buildings, the heartbeat of the city, and the ‘siren song’ singing through the streets. i did my best to keep the track from getting too long, but skyscrapers sing slowly.
I hope you enjoy!
